Our Base Camp, Maklopi Lodge, is situated only 2 hours from JHB International Airport. This private lodge is built on top of a hill, which gives you the perfect view over the Northwest Province bushveld.

With 6 well placed Chalets for privacy and stunning view, you will have the luxuries of a quality hotel room, en-suite bathrooms are standard at all our concessions. The main building consists of a lounge with open fireplace and leather coaches. The well-stocked open bar also has a build in barbecue, for those cold winter nights. Your meals are prepared by our residential chef in the well-equipped kitchen and served in the dining area.

During the day our clients can take a refreshing swim in the heated pool overlooking a waterhole. The best hunting stories are told in the Boma with open fireplace, under the crystal bright stars. Here you can sit at night looking at the flames of the campfire while listening to Africa telling you its own stories.

We the owners at JW African Outfitters believe in proper hard ethical hunting during the day, but also to spoil our clients with comfort and style at night. For this reason, we make sure that accommodations at all our other concessions meet the same standards we have set at our Main Lodge. This includes thatched roof chalets and tented camps.
